Do Children matter To You?

We live in a world where children do not appear to be important, in fact in so parts of the world they are exterminated like vermin.

We appear world-wide to have a surplus of unloved children, and yet even in the more "civilised" societies children are neglected, physically, emotionally and educationally abused, as routine.

This generalisation applies to the United Kindom, as anywhere else, and systematic abuse of child rights and welfare is common among those agencies that are supposed to care, educate and protect them.

Children sometimes are also abuse and victimised by individuals and parents, and in the United kingdom the National Society for the Prevention of cruelty to Children, with its "STOP IT" campaign sets itself the task of eliminating child abuse from society this decade.
Some hope!

Who are they trying to kid?

It is society itself that robs children of childhood, strips it of innocence, immerses them in a culture of violence, sex, adultery and unfaithfulness. It feeds them on a diet of blasphemy, obscenities and material possessions and a morality of "anything goes (if), I'm all right jack".

We may wring our hands when children murder children, when old people are mugged by children and when eleven year olds are accussed of rape and we see stealing, shoplifting, and burglary as common place. Most culprits are the young.

We breed violence in our children and the breed violence in theirs.

We watch lust and degradation acted out on our screens, even before the 9p.m watershed, and this our society accepts as the norm!
It is little wonder that we have what we deserve, but our children do not.

This generation have had their chance and since 1960 things have progressively gone downhill. We need to look to ourselves, the next generation to undo the misguided liberal, permissive, evil culture of immorality and selfishness, setting real priorities for children world-wide, in a real spirit of love and genuine commitment.

This commitment needs to be our own personal ideal, with clear sighted vision on God given values in the spirit of real love channelled from Him, for children world-wide. Not politics or dogma but youth of today orchestrated together towards a common goal, and to reap the rewards of peace, innocence, love and joy in the next generation of children. This will change society, unlike the STOP IT Campaign of the NSPPC.

We hope we have fired your vision towards a better deal for children and the families to which they belong. Sometimes single parenthood is unavoidable because of a death of a parent or even divorce, and in such cases we need to cherish, love and provide for all their needs.

Single parents who make this choice and live off the state, deprive children in the deepest sense of practical natural love associated with God endowed parenting. Correct parenting by mothers and fathers provides the balanced emotional nurturing, so essential in child rearing.
