ATTITUDES WITHIN THE HUMAN SOUL THAT  HAVE A CRITICAL EFFECT ON THE HUMAN SPIRIT (continued)

BETRAYAL.

(John 13:21 NIV)  After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me."

CONDEMNATION.

DESPISING.

SHAMING.

(Isaiah 54:4 NIV)  "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
(Isaiah 54:5 NIV)  For your Maker is your husband-- the LORD Almighty is his name-- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.
(Isaiah 54:6 NIV)  The LORD will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit-- a wife who married young, only to be rejected," says your God.

UNFORGIVENESS.

RIDICULE.

HATRED.

DISHONOUR.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF RESULTS OF TRAUMA.

A TIMID SPIRIT.

(2 Timothy 1:7 NIV)  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

A timid spirit could show lack of power for living.
Impaired ability to give and receive love.
Uncertainty in rationalisation, judgement and understanding.

Possibly caused by early trauma, from conception onwards,  anxious or a fearful nature or a spirit of fear.

This may result in difficulty or inability to empower.
Difficulty in relationships.
Problems in giving and receiving comfort.
A wrong understanding of  Father God and other people.

AN OVERWHELMED (IMPRISONED) SPIRIT

(Psalm 142:3 NIV)  When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me.
(Psalm 142:4 NIV)  Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
(Psalm 143:3 NIV)  The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.
