MINISTERING TO THE UNBORN CHILD
Ministering to your unborn chid requires no special skills or recipes. It is the most natural Christian activity, because by faith you know your God is with you.
Grasping the truth we discussed earlier about spiritual ties with your child, it is by spiritual communication you cherish, nurture, teach and protect him or her.
It will be by these keys that you will speak out your love and encouragement, your expressed affirmation and acceptance, to tell him that he is loved and wanted. Your regular prayer life will prompt this love you want to express, with the faith you have, and the relationship you have with God.
Express out to your child your thankfulness to God for him and tell him, not just once, but repeatedly how you value him as a special gift from God.
Each day share with him how you treasure him as a very special baby, and that you will always be there for him.
Speak out your love and esteem of him as a child of God, precious in the sight of God, and a source of excitement and pleasure, just being there with you.
Tell him each day, as he develops, how you relish each thought of him, and look forward to holding him in your arms and looking into his lovely eyes.
Express how important he is to you both and his family and how he will have a special place in both your hearts.
Tell him how God has blessed him with a future in your family, how you will care for him and look after him, in all situations
Look forward to the future, the joy of babyhood, and as he develops into childhood how you will encourage him in his creative gifts God gives him.
Play him music or if you are musically gifted, play him your instrument. He will
develop his favourites, if you do.
Encourage other family members to speak out, especially grandparents, to support the feeling of complete affirmation and acceptance within the family.
Foster a closeness with your child, by gentle caressing touches and encourage a response from him as develops stronger movements. He will change his position to meet your touch, in response to your loving hand.
