Spiritual Realms (4/11)

INDEX

THE SPIRITUAL REALMS

For those seeking the truth about child abuse, a deep understanding of the spiritual  realms is an essential foundation on which to build. To be in this world and to deny the presence and effects of the influence of good and evil and their sources would be beyond belief, as much as to deny the air we breathe.

In this teaching we will establish from scripture this truth and its relevance to those of us who accept that God made us in His own image and placed us individually in this world.

There is a spiritual kingdom that submits to the will of God and a kingdom of darkness that opposes the will of God. These kingdoms are not in any way equal and opposite, but there is a spiritual battle taking place that affects every disciple of Jesus Christ

God the creator, has sovereign power and authority over all the created realms the heavenly and the earthly .

Psalm 103:19)  The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
(Col 1:16 )  For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit

(Phil 2:6 ) (Jesus)  Who, being in very nature God, did not  consider equality with God something to be grasped,
(John 14:16)  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you  another Counsellor to be with you forever--
(John 14:17)  the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you

The Heavenly Spiritual Kingdom in Obedience to God

Though we have no definitive description of the Angelic Hierarchy we can through scripture grasp a good knowledge of the different rankings, roles and purposes of the spiritual beings who serve God in many ways

(Genesis 3:24 )  After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
(Ezekiel 10:1 )  I looked, and I saw the likeness of a throne of sapphire above the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim.
(Ezekiel 10:20 )  These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the Kebar River, and I realised that they were cherubim

Seraphim

((Isaiah 6:2 )  Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
(Isaiah 6:6 )  Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
