Total Child Protection
For Parents In The Natural World (2/28)

To spiritually parent your child requires that you cherish, nurture, teach and protect your child's human spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit, working through you, ideally, under the Godly covenant of Holy Marriage.

It is not possible for you to nurture your child's human spirit through your flesh alone, though it is through our flesh we see this demonstrated.
Nurturing your child spiritually is a spiritual activity, and we will share with you the keys that open up this empowering.

(John 3:16 NIV)  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
(John 3:5 NIV)  Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
(John 3:6 NIV)  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
(John 3:7 NIV)  You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'
(John 3:8 NIV)  The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Spiritual parenting pivots on these two scriptures:

Believing and trusting in Jesus Christ by God's grace and through faith, and in  a very personal way, accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and the Lord of your life. This is possible because Jesus, God's own Son, paid the price of our redemption on the cross of Calvary. The price of our Redemption was the shedding of His blood and bearing the curse of all sin in His body and soul.

In this act of redemption the believer is born again spiritually in the person of Jesus Christ, who God raised from the dead to His Resurrection power, and He ascended in to heaven to sit at God's right hand. His position there is eternal and those who are reborn spiritually in Him share this future with Him.

Before Jesus ascended into heaven He promised His disciples that He would send a comforter, at Pentecost we saw an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples, with an empowering spiritually that is still with those today, who not only believe, but also take up the discipleship walk.

If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and living in the power of the Holy Spirit then you should go to Key 2.

KEY 2

(Psalm 139:23 NIV)  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
(Psalm 139:24 NIV)  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

This prayer is essential in our quest for personal holiness as disciples of Jesus because it is in our mind and will that the enemy makes his efforts to impair, distract or injure our daily walk with Jesus. It is when the Lord brings our conscience ( an element of the human spirit) into play, that we can be shown things within ourselves that will hinder our discipleship. Confession of our sin and owning up to our shortcomings, together with repentance (turning away from our sin) is what our Holy God desires.

(1 John 1:9 NIV)  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

(Matthew 5:8 NIV)  Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

(1 Timothy 1:5 NIV)  The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
